The VAM Commanders formed in 1998 in Ashland, Oregon (USA). Their influences are diverse with music incorporating elements of rock, metal, reggae and rap. Three years in to their early career, they recorded multiple albums and played opening slots for large acts like Vanilla Ice and Green Jello. They are known for their high-energy live shows and singalong choruses. In 2011, after a 10-year hiatus, the band has rereleased deluxe versions of all its albums as well as an album of new material.
